For more than 20 years I have focussed upon Professional Indemnity insurance for engineering and construction professionals. The relationships I’ve built with underwriters over more than 20 years, backed by my technical ability and skills in risk management and business strategy, enable me to negotiate competitive and bespoke products.

I have a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Melbourne University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from Melbourne Business School and a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) from the National Insurance Brokers Association.

My company, Sparrow Insurance, specialises in the beauty and cosmetic injecting industries, offering comprehensive insurance protection and advice.  I work with businesses that want someone to come alongside them, who knows and has a passion for the industry, to educate and empower them to make good decisions for themselves and their business no matter what their size.  I am passionate about delivering quality business solutions and developing strong enduring relationships.

We predominately specialise in the following:

• Beauty Therapy Insurance, Cosmetic Nurse Practitioners, Cosmetic Injectors, Dental Facial Aesthetics, Dermal Aesthetics, Laser Therapists, Cosmetic Tattooing, Skin Needling Insurance, Laser Tattoo Insurance; and

I am a competent finance professional with solid experience in finance roles across various industries.

My expertise is focused on the administration and management of insurance broking and underwriting agency finance within a complex and diverse regulatory environment.

I am results driven with the core purpose of my career roles centered on delivering accurate and timely financial and management reporting for all internal and external stakeholders.  In addition, facilitating change, achieving and delivering outcomes, and establishing and implementing business improvement is where I add value to any role undertaken.  This, combined with the nurturing of internal and external stakeholder relationships, keeps me focused.

Chief Executive Officer / Broker Ready Australia

I started BrokerReady Australia in 2015 because it afforded the opportunity to combine my technical expertise and insurance industry knowledge.  It answered a real need in the insurance broking industry.  As such, we have designed a dynamic IT platform – a complete IT solution for brokers that anticipates and fulfills the specific needs of a broking firm.

We protect data, business operations, reputation and ultimately the entire brokerage by providing high-level expertise to manage, support and protect our platforms 24 hours a day.

This is more than simply an IT platform – by offering a package that’s tailored for the insurance industry, we ensure that a brokerage has everything needed to run a seamless, protected, business.

Principal / Coterminous Legal

Following 29 years with DLA Piper, I established my own law firm, Coterminous Legal in 2019.  I am also pursuing business opportunities with a range of trusted and valued clients.

I am recognised in Best Lawyers as one of the leading insurance and dispute resolution lawyers in Australia.  An accredited specialist in commercial litigation, I have sold about 50,000 hours of legal time over the last 29 years, mainly in dispute resolution, but also in a niche “front end” specialty of negotiating insurance and indemnity clauses in all sorts of commercial contracts.

I have expertise in:

• shareholder disputes: litigated claims and disciplinary hearings involving health professionals, class actions, director’s and officer’s liability and defamation law; and
• defence and prosecution of professional negligence claims.

I am committed to helping agribusinesses and rural residents protect their livelihoods and business continuity.  I understand the value of face-to-face service to deliver on its purpose of keeping farmers farming and rural businesses delivering the services needed to allow the geographic regions in which we live to prosper.

Rural Insurance Services believes in making optimum use of its insurer relationships and technical expertise.  This is needed to capture the opportunities that lie ahead in regional communities, whilst managing the changes that confront our insurance industry.

I am a Qualified Practicing Insurance Broker (QPIB) with over 30 years’ experience in the general insurance industry.  I am passionate about delivering bespoke insurance solutions to my valued clients.  Acting as a strong client advocate, I work consistently to negotiate the best risk protection and cover, including delivery of unique service solutions to enhance our client offerings.

I value, maintain and respect the relationships I build with insurers, underwriters, staff and clients whilst continually striving to secure ethical and mutually beneficial outcomes for all involved in the insurance process.

I am the Principal and owner of Guardsafe Insurance Brokers, which specialises in bespoke insurance and risk solutions for the security industry and additional broad ranging occupations.

I am a proud third generation experienced domestic and international Insurance Broker. This has provided me with a unique and detailed understanding of insurance, risk and client service as a result of the legacy from both my father and grandfather. My passion for insurance and technology grew from a young age.

I established Wide Bay Insurance Brokers in 2007 after it evolved from an agency business.

More than 30 years’ experience has taught me to understand that leading a broking business is more than managing people; it is about finding new ways of transmitting information and sharing ideas across a wide network. Technology in any business landscape is never static and so I believe communication is one factor where technology can help it grow. In my business, my goal is to always make sure that I capitalise on advanced communication methods and channels to stay relevant and successful.
